Cooperation with XJTU-China, SZU-China and CAU_China
On July 18, we held an online iGEM academic exchange meeting with the teams of XJTU-China, SZU-China and CAU_China.
At this online exchange meeting, all four teams introduced their projects in detail and shared the valuable experience gained in experiments and social practice activities.
The projects of each team were based on the realistic background, aiming at putting forward creative solutions to practical problems. And all teams had given rigorous experimental solutions, showing the unique charm of synthetic biology.
Moreover, after in-depth communication, our team had also gained a lot of useful suggestions and novel ideas, which helped us to improve our previous work, and to develop our future work.
Through the exchange meeting, we got the opportunity for further communication and cooperation with the participating teams, which is also of great significance for the development and promotion of our project. After the meeting, we still maintained close contact with the teams and kept engaging in a lot of communication and collaboration.
Collaboration activity: ICII
This year, we are honored to be invited by NAU-CHINA to be a part of ICII community to communicate with 11 teams in China to share our opinion. We used live stream as the form of our lecture, making it not only for us iGEMers but also for everyone who is interested in synthetic biology or biology on bilibili. We attended every lecture given by other teams, learned from them and gave our own opinion on their project.
As for our lecture, we shared our project along with parasitology knowledge on our stream. Since we are facing more than iGEMers, we consider this stream more than a communication with other teams but also a chance to spread the knowledge. On July 31st, we held our online stream. We used virtual figure in our stream to make it more interesting and appealing for bilibili users and we did gain more audiences than we have expected.
iGEMers from other teams have given us a lot of valuable suggestions and opinions, audiences also posted comments saying that they gained more knowledge of parasitology. This is a valuable experience of collaboration and public engagement for us.
Collaboration activity: CCiC
Every year, iGEMers in China will gather together and hold a conference. This year, hosted by ShanghaiTech_China, we attended the online conference to share our project with other teams in China and communicated as well. Members from other teams, professors and professionals have asked questions about our project and have given their suggestions and opinions for our work, which are also valuable and useful for us to improve our later work in wetlab, drylab and human practices as well.
