We have interviewed Prof. Wen Huang who is an expert in isothermal amplification to know more about isothermal amplification and got the information we need to enhance our lab work
April 21st Online meeting with Zhuo Li, PhD and Qinglong Zeng, PhD
We held an online meeting with two experts in CRISPR-Cas system to study from them and have gained several useful suggestions for our work in wet lab and have improved our experiment design and operation later on.
May 19th Interviewed Tibetan resident
We have contacted a Tibetan resident who has been worked for local CDC for years before retirement. From this interview, we have learned that the main problem of current medical situation for local residents and what we can do to solve their problem. Also, from this interview, we have known that our project is useful and beneficial for local resident.

Interviewed expert of medical ethics to know more about what we should pay more attention to and to make sure no ethical problem exists in our work and our design.
May 24th Debate competition
Held an debate competition to engage more students from different majors to the discussion on synthetic biology and our project design, gained more opinions and suggestions for us to improve our project.

We tested our parasite detection system using patient cfDNA samples, as permitted by safety and ethics
