Best Integrated Human Practices
To know what stakeholders need and make our project capable of solving the problem in real life, we have reached out to bunch of professionals and stakeholders to get information we need from the very start of our design to the proposed implementation designing. We made sure that at every stage of our work, we were getting suggestions and information to make our work better. We have interviewed experts in CRISPR-Cas system and RPA technique from Hunan and Xinjiang, professionals in parasitology, general surgeons from Xinjiang and Tibet, medical examiner, epidemic prevention personnel living in Tibet and local Tibetan residents from Yunnan, etc. The target users of our project are mostly herdsmen living on the prairie, there are many ethnic minorities among them, including but not limited to Uighurs, Tibetans, etc. Thus, we are facing the problem of cultural differences and different acceptance level to our project. We have made sure that our project can be accepted and used by people of different ethnic groups through our integrated human practices work. Our interviews covered people from four provinces in China all the way from Hunan to Yunnan to Tibet to Xinjiang, also covered professionals, stakeholders and government staffs. We have attained plenty of information we need and given feedback to the wet lab to enhance our design and improve our work in wet lab. Also, we have consulted medical ethics experts to make sure our design meets ethical requirements.
