Discussion with team SZ-SHD

During the summer, members of our team(Peichen Liu, Feng Long, Tianzuo Zeng) were invited to the First term of the SynBio Challenge in Shenzhen, China. In the challenge, we communicated with SZ-SHD team members who were inspired to use a light-inducible promoter and hardware to control the engineered bacteria based on our project in 2020. We talked about the original design and their this year's plan in detail.

Participating in the 9th Conference of China iGEMer Community (CCiC)

We participated in the 9th Conference of China iGEMer Community. We gave an online presentation to introduce our project and received some practical and helpful suggestions. Besides, we took this opportunity to communicate with other high school teams and fortunately encountered our partnership team HS_China who also aimed at solving lactose intolerance!!! After that, we designed our cooperation plan and started to implement it.

Donating a plasmid containing lacZ to team ICJFLS

We gave team ICJFLS a plasmid containing the lacZ gene to assist in their construction of a toehold switch plasmid containing the lacZ gene to express E.coli β-galactosidase. They also heard about our project at the CCiC.
