Partnership

How we collaborated throughout the year with at least one other 2022 iGEM team on a set of shared objectives related to both of our projects.

Collaborate with ust igem team (ust symposium):

  • Shared how our project works
  • Received the feedbacks from the professionals and experienced and talented in the biotech industry

On the 13th of August, our IGEM team is honored to participate in the UST symposium. There are biotech-savvy teams coming from such as HKU, CityU, UST etc. All of us express our ideas about biotechnology stuff and have conversations between teams in order to gain more knowledge and experience. As a team specialized in researching spider silk, we introduced our project SSS - Super Spider Silk. We have been talking about the potential of spider silk, how our project works and the human practice result.

After the introduction session, those experienced and professional teams were contacting around and giving us precious advice from different perspectives. After collecting the feedback and possible improvements from the professionals, we realized that some of the previous aims and propositions are not able to be achieved in the following few years. We eventually changed the focus on what we should investigate and keep researching.

After the symposium, we speeded up our experiment and gained the experience that we have never had before. That is all we benefited from the opportunity of symposium.
