      In addition to weekly reporting and communication with the FAFU-China team, we also pay attention to long-term and in-depth communication and cooperation with the FAFU team and other outstanding iGEM teams.

Cooperate with the 2022 FAFU team

1.Cooperate with the 2022 FAFU team——Actively liaise with various social groups
      In 2022, to carry out our activities more effectively, we cooperated with 2022 FAFU team and assisted its members to prepare a series of science education activities.

    IGEM is about how we affect the world and how the world affects us. HP activities should also be combined with experiments. In terms of experimental design, you can communicate and discuss with senior professors to determine the scheme.
   Mr. Zhang from 2022 FAFU summarized the following points from the lessons of past competitions:
   1. The information of team members, such as age, should be filled in correctly, or they may be transferred from the undergraduate group to the graduate group.
   2. The standard of the award to refer to, it is better not just from your point of view, think he meets, the organizing committee may think that does not meet, will cause the decline of the award, it is better to meet one or two standards.
   3. Finish the implement part as soon and correctly as possible and do not delay to the last submission time. Otherwise, the web page will become very slow.

(2)In May, 2022, FAFU-China held a scientific promotion activity with 2022FAFU team. This time, we contributed to connect with a media company in Taijiang District so that we can guide children and their parents there to join our search of Longan and GABA knowledge altogether.
collaboration3 Fig. 1.3 We are interacting with participants      Although it was raining all the day, we kept on leading almost everyone who participated the activity to finish the game about our scientific popularization. With our effort to consult the specific activities to conduct on that day, 2022FAFU got the chance to take part with us and accomplish their human practice by virtue of the resources we applied. As soon as the game for the children and their parents ended, members from two teams communicated with each other, telling the experience and feelings right after the practice. Not only did we learn from another, but exchange the ideas about how to improve the next promotion as well. We all hope to help their team and cooperate with them again in the further.

      During the epidemic period, the school strictly screened the admission personnel, so we invited our PI teacher Cao Shijiang to lead us and the FAFU team to the kindergarten to communicate with the school. Through many communications with kindergarten teachers, we finally decided to hold a science popularization activity with the theme of "New Crown Epidemic". We designed computer interactive games, stickers and other small gifts and dances for children in science popularization activities. It is gratifying that the children were very excited about our arrival. We successfully completed our task and had a happy and energetic day!

Joint popular science activities of universities

2.Participated in the joint popular science activities of universities as a keynote speaker
(1) With BUCT-China
      The first activity was held online on August 14th, 2022 when we joined a wonderful scientific promotion with eight universities jointly supporting.
They are: BNUZH-China, JLU-China, BIT, BUCT, NJU-China, iBowu, NJMU-China, NPU-CHINA, BIT-China, Sustech_Shenzhen_HCL. collaboration10 collaboration11 collaboration12 Fig. 2.1 The promotional pages on the official account collaboration13 Fig. 2.2 The pictures were presented for us as the keynote speaker       The team presented the project in the online meeting with BUCT-China. This time, with the assistance of BUCT-China, Nan Li in our team presented our achievement of human practice and showed the outline of our project. Initially, we introduced the current situation of sleeplessness among people and the market gap yielding for a chance to help those with metal problems. After that, our member briefly talked about the promotions we have done and the results our experiment obtained. In the end, we expressed our expectations for the object with Longan and GABA.
      We reached a consensus and emphasized the significance of gene editing. Hope that more ideal models will be built and more techniques could bu explored with our common goal.

(2) With ShanghaiTech
      Several days after the cooperation with BUCT-China, take the chance of summer vacation, we held another online discussion with ShanghaiTech.
         This time, Qiqi Zhao in FAFU-China host the discussion and told all present students how the experiment our team designed and consequences we had already achieved. collaboration14 collaboration15 Fig. 2.3 The team presented the project on the official account with ShanghaiTech       After a heated discussion, the members of ShanghaiTech iGEM team and us got to know each other's practice patterns. Through the meeting, at the suggestion of the ShanghaiTech team, we learned that we could read as much literature as possible to better understand the current prospects of gene editing technology and the current status of Longan industry. We were also inspired to expand the scope of practical communication and start market research. The two teams pointed out the strengths as well as weaknesses we have and hoped for more communication and cooperation in the future.
    We organized a total of two popular science university exchange activities in the summer vacation, with different topics and iGEM teams participating. By helping teams from other universities to host conferences and publish articles on relevant public accounts for publicity, we not only attracted many people's attention to synthetic biology, but also accumulated experience in organizing activities for our own teams.
      Through the vivid description, we popularize the chemical GABA to the public, and also told you our project which focused on what impact Longan can have on people's life and its effects. We also use this opportunity to further show the beauty of synthetic biology and the state of the art of gene editing.
