Parts

This year we have made a total of 32 parts to contribute to the iGEM parts registry including 15 basic parts and 17 composite parts, and improved the characterisation of one existing University of Sydney part (fuGFP (BBa_K3814004), see Contribution page). The functions of our parts range from basic nanobody and fluorescent proteins to GFP-CBD (cellulose binding domain) fusion proteins. Part Collection

The parts we have made this year form a broad collection, the collection of fluorescent proteins (fuGFP, fuGFPb, fuGFPy, fuBFP, and fuGFPa) and them fusing with CBD allows for the immobilisation of a wide variety of free-use fluorescent proteins onto cellulose.
