1. Do not work alone in the laboratory without the permission of instructors.
2. Do not use lab equipment without the permission and instruction of instructors
3. Wash hands with soap and water at around 70 degrees Celsius before wearing gloves and after taking off gloves.
4. Do not bring drinks and food into the lab.
5. Wear appropriate clothing at all times in the laboratory.
6. Wear examination gloves and safety glasses all the time when doing an experiment
7. Keep hands away from the face, eyes, and mouth when working with chemicals and microorganisms.
8. Dispose of experimental trash into special bins.
9. Clean the laboratory before leaving

In our project, we only used Escherichia coli DH5a and BL21(DE3) which are safe for human bodies. And all related experiments were conducted on the super clean bench to avoid contamination with the supervision of our instructor at the same time. Furthermore, all of the strains we make will operate in a laboratory environment and follow the rules of laboratory waste disposal. The discarded engineering strains will be sterilized at 121℃ and 20 minutes before being thrown away as medical waste. Therefore, our engineered bacteria will not spread in the natural environment.
