Although there were few teams doing promoter-related work this year, we did have a collaborative exchange with a team from Beijing University of Technology who also do promoters. Together we studied and exchanged the following literature.Characterization of Endogenous and Reduced Promoters for Oxygen-Limited Processes Using Escherichia coli.
In the HP section we worked with a number of teams and exchanged tips and techniques for PV filming with a team from Nanjing University. We also collaborated with a team from China Pharmaceutical University to promote the science of synthetic biology.
We are grateful to the teams and organisations that helped our team throughout the tournament.
A total of 24 teams participated in this exchange, because at the beginning of the competition, we had an initial exchange of project ideas and an exchange of hp-related activity arrangements under the lack of milestones. We built up a deep friendship with each other.
This was an online meet up in Nanjing organized by NJU-China, with 6 teams from different universities in Nanjing. Compared to the previous one, we had more content to share: the four different ideas we experimented with, the HP summer camp activities. Of course we also exchanged many relevant questions and we were not only the beneficiaries but also the helpers during this time.
It was a very memorable exchange experience, not only for us to present our experimental ideas and milestones to teams from various regions and universities throughout China.
Since CCiC, where we shared our projects with each other, we built great friendships with team YiYe-China and BIT-China.
Not only did we discuss with each other the feasibility of the experimental ideas and the points to note in the educational activities part of HP.
We discussed the literature on promoters with BIT-China who used another microaerobic induced promoter nirB in their project.
We also helped the team BIT-China and YiYe-China to solve the technical problems they encountered in their parts registry procedures.
