In order to create a safe and comfortable laboratory environment, and for the safety of everyone's personal
property, the following safety rules and regulations have been specially formulated.
Laboratory safety management system
- All drugs, marked samples, and solutions should be labeled, and never fill a container with a drug that
does not match the label. Different types of items need to be sorted and placed.
- The instrument is regularly checked, maintained, and repaired. Valuable instruments need to fill in the
use of records, if broken and lost should fill in the report; laboratory valuable drugs, equipment, etc.
without approval shall not be lent or transferred, not to mention private out.
- When configuring the buffer, please follow the principle of configuring as much as you need, to avoid
spoilage due to long storage time and thus affect the experimental results.
- Concentrated acid and caustic soda are strongly corrosive, so it is necessary to take good protective
measures when using them, wear a lab coat, mask, goggles, and gloves, and avoid splashing on skin and
clothes. When using concentrated nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, perchloric acid, ammonia,
and trifluoroacetic acid, they should be operated under a ventilation fan or in ventilation. If accidentally
splashed on the skin or in the eyes, it should be immediately flushed with water, then flushed with 5%
bicarbonate solution (used for acid corrosion) or 5% boric acid solution (used for alkali corrosion), and
finally flushed with water.
- When heating flammable solvents, it must be done in a water or sand bath, avoiding the use of open flames.
Never put the hot electric stove into the experimental cabinet to avoid fire.
- Vessels containing highly corrosive, flammable, toxic or explosive substances should be washed by the
operator at the end of the experiment. Empty reagent bottles should be handled in a uniform manner and
should not be thrown away indiscriminately to avoid accidents.
- It is not advisable to introduce infectious cells or strains into the laboratory. If it is necessary to
introduce them due to experimental needs, please inform everyone in advance and take protective isolation
measures.
- The laboratory needs to be kept clean and hygienic and orderly and should be cleaned and organized before
and after work every day, with items neatly arranged, reasonable, and in a fixed position. Tables and
cabinets and other surfaces should be wiped every day to keep dust-free and eliminate pollution.
- When high-temperature autoclaving, there must be someone to look after it, and when abnormalities occur,
the pressure and temperature should be lifted in time; the high-pressure cylinder should be opened slowly,
and the outlet should not be turned to people.
- After the test, the biological waste cannot be abandoned, but must be disinfected and sterilized before
being placed in a specific place.
- Put the laboratory waste liquid in the waste liquid bucket centrally, and put the acidic waste liquid and
alkaline waste liquid separately, if put together, please adjust the solution ph value to neutral; please
cover the waste liquid bucket with the lid in time.
- The last person to leave the lab remembers to make sure that the doors and windows are closed and that the
power to unused instruments is cut off.
- Firefighting equipment should be placed in an obvious location, and it is strictly prohibited to move
firefighting equipment for other uses.
- Keep the laboratory tidy, the aisles clear and the equipment neatly arranged. All instruments used in the
laboratory should strictly abide by the operating procedures, unplug the instruments after use, and restore
the knobs of each instrument to their original position.
- At the end of the work, organize the equipment, tools, and various materials, cut off the power supply,
and close the doors, windows, and taps.
