Lecture Series for Marathi Medium Students
A member of our team, Sahil Jadhav, conducted a series of lectures in Marathi, the local language in Maharashtra for students learning in Marathi Medium Secondary Schools. This workshop aimed to acquiesce them with the different, especially the newer branches of biology with a highlight on synthetic biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
The students were from grades 9 and 10 and had not performed any experiments beyond the basic ones in their lab. They were briefed about various techniques like PCR and cloning. Our team also explained to them, in brief, the central dogma of life and how proteins are produced in a cell. The students were very enthusiastic about learning and were eager to ask more questions at the end of the lecture.
