The project has been ideated by our PI Dr Shamlan Reshamwala. Later on, through brainstorming Arya Gohad, Taha Umrethwala, Hrishabh Singh, and Darsh Vithlani further brainstormed and built on the project.
Planning and coordination of the project activities was done by Darsh Vithlani.
An extensive literature search was performed by Hrishabh Singh, Darsh Vithlani, Taha Umrethwala, Arya Gohad, Shauryaraj Jilkar, Karanveer Singh and Swarali Paranjape to understand the biology of the 5’UTR and gene expression systems.
The wet lab experiments are being conducted under the supervision, guidance and assistance of our instructor Prajwal Dongare. Darsh Vithlani and Swarali Paranjape have learnt the experimental protocols and carried out the work.
Computational analysis of the experiments is handled by Hrishabh Singh. Harikrishnan Namboothiri is making a modest attempt to train neural networks on the data our experiments generate. Validation from literature, further developing the thought pipeline of the project was done by Arya Gohad, Hrishabh Singh and Darsh Vithlani in conjunction with Dr Shamlan Reshamwala.
Cleaning, organizing and preparation of the research facilities has been done by Prajwal Dongare and Karanveer Singh.
The documentation of all the data generated in the wet lab is done by Prajwal Dongare, Karanveer Singh and Darsh Vithlani. The documentation of all the dry lab results is done by Hrishabh Singh and Harikrishnan Namboothiri. We thank Mayank Ghoghale and Shreya Shetty for their help in last minute documentation.
Approaching potential donors, companies and alumni, and negotiating with them through emails, calls or in-person meets was done by Kaustubh Wadekar and Ritesh Reddy Seri. Mihir Dakappagari and Darsh Vithlani assisted them wherever needed.
The proposed implementation was looked after by Kaustubh Wadekar, Karanveer Singh and Darsh Vithlani.
The social media account of the team was managed by Darsh Vithlani. The design of templates wherever used for engagement was done by Vijayank Raj Chauhan. We have also developed a Monopoly Board game and a Gene Auction game. The concept of the games was developed by Arya Gohad, Karanveer Singh, and Darsh Vithlani. We thank Peehu Joshi and Jaysen Shah for their help in design of the same.
The analysis of our data on OSTIR and RBS Calculator was done by Hrishabh Singh. Hrishabh Singh also modified the code of BioBrickIt which is software developed by one of our previous teams. Darsh Vithlani and Kaustubh Wadekar did NuPack simulation and made an attempt to understand the NuPack structures. We were assisted in this by our iGEM partner team IISER Behrampur.
Preparation of content for the presentation of our work is being done by Arya Gohad, Hrishabh Singh, Kaustubh Wadekar and Darsh Vithlani. We thank Shreya Shetty for assisting us with the Wiki.
Reviewing and editing of the content for the Wiki and presentations is being done by Arya Gohad, Anirudh Veliyur, Karanveer Singh, Hrishabh Singh, Kaustubh Wadekar and Darsh Vithlani.
The safety aspects of the project were looked into by Prajwal Dongare and Darsh Vithlani. Our Primary Investigator Dr. Reshamwala is also a part of the Safety and Disposal Committee of our institute and we have been in compliance with all the norms.
