Patras Medicine
Darsh Vithlani from our team first interacted with Lefteris from the Patras Medicine Team on 23rd April, 2022. Both of them were leading the teams and ICT-Mumbai was still finalizing it's team members back then. Darsh needed assistance in deciding in the team dynamics and what are the skill sets needed for every aspect of iGEM and what would the time commitment involved be. ICT-Mumbai was participating in iGEM again after three years and the Team of Patras Medicine gave us all the necessary advice which we are grateful for.
Later on we had interactions regarding the Dry Lab aspects of Patras Medicine. They were facing difficulties regarding the conceptualisation of their dry lab work. We made modest suggestions one of them being that they should include molecular dynamics in their project to get further mechanistic insights. We mentioned that it would be great if their nano structure could be visualised. They incorporated this using GROMACS and also worked on our suggestions with respect to mathematical modelling.
Besides this, it was lovely interacting with the team during the video submission they had asked us for. We also participated in the teams DNA Day celebrations.
