Proposed Implementation
From July to September 2022, we joined three igem teams from Tsinghua, CAFA_China and peking to form TAP, aiming to exchange art and science through art workshops.We plan to hold an exhibition in Beijing to showcase the projects of the three teams, as well as to introduce synthetic biology to the public and show its charm. We believe that more people, not only artists, will be encouraged or inspired by our works, so as to understand and promote synthetic biology, explore the possibility of its intersection with other fields, and indirectly promote the connection and development of art and synthetic biology.
In this activity, we shared the art exhibition and the presentation of art works with Tsinghua University and Peking University. For the installation to be built in the exhibition, we will operate in full accordance with the biosafety regulations stipulated by the law to ensure that there will be no biosafety problems in the public exhibition.
Due to the epidemic situation in China, the exhibition originally planned for the end of September was not successfully completed. We need to adjust the exhibition date according to the epidemic prevention and control policies. As an art team, we hope to popularize synthetic biology and art to more people through the exhibition of our art installation, show the new vitality brought by the combination of the two, and convey our ideas. Therefore, our future audience will be for all sectors of society. We will explore more possibilities for the intersection of synthetic biology and experimental art. How to better integrate the two and show their respective interesting and charming is the challenge we will tackle in the future.
