Team members

Zixuan Zou Coordinate work between HP and wet experiment as the team leader. Lead team members to brainstorm, design projects and conduct experiments. She also used her personal experience to guide the team in plasmid design. In the end, she summarized the results of the project with the team members.

Ziting Xu Members of the wet group, involved in determining caffeine synthesis pathways, searched for some genes and mapped metabolic pathways; Participated in some relevant experiments; and promotion video shooting.

Shuo Zhang One of the team leaders and the person in charge of human practice. The main practitioner and designer of human practice. He is also a designer and producer of many works, including CCiC conference, promotion video, team interview, etc. He also hosted live education activities, contributed main ideas to the brainstorming of the team, and promoted the finalization of the project.

Yujie Zhang Provide the ideas to select competition project plan and search for information to improve the team's final project. Construct the 2-PE biosynthesis pathway in E. coli. As the leader of Improvement of Standard Biological Parts , found the anti-feedback inhibition gene of aroG that met the requirement of the medal standard.Design the plasmid pCS-aroGfbr. Wenjun Xie In the early stage of the project, I actively participated in the discussion of the project content and was one of the original proposers of the current project. And then as a member of the art team, I participated in logo design and some poster design work. At the same time, I also participated in the design of self-designed system.

Zongyu Yao Participate in wiki writing.

Jiani Man In the early stage, I brainstormed with teammates and put forward the idea that using E. coli to make caffeine help promote the growth of hair follicles. As one of the leaders of the team, I am mainly responsible for the modeling work. I have proposed the method of applying the Luedeking-Piret equation to predict the yield of strains and the Logistic and Volterra competition equations to predict the viability of strains. I also participated in the design of strain suicide mechanism and video editing.

Hongxu Zhou financial administrator , participated in most meetings , organized HP works , promoted HP works arrangement , fond and contacted relevant universities and enterprises .
And also participated in copywriting editing (part of HP) , also responsible for photography and shooting.

Yutong Su At the beginning of the competition, she and her team members searched for information on related fields in order to facilitate the identification of the project topic. She was one of the keynote speakers for the popular science live stream and also participated in the preparation of the PowerPoint for the ccic conference, the multi-school joint broadcast, and the Lanting conference. In addition, she participated in the scripting of the promotion video and the WeChat tweets.

Zhengjun Li Professor Li encouraged us to carry out innovative practice and provided us with good experimental conditions. He gave us great help in the design of the project.

Xiaolin Shen Professor Shen helped us optimize the experimental plan. She also helped us to contact relevant experts in the HP aspect.

Xinxiao Sun Professor Sun is the Primary PI. He taught us the safety of our laboratory and how to do experiments correctly and supplied us with experimental materials.

HP helpers

Jinfang Lee Dr Lee Jinfang, an expert dermatologist. Based on his years of experience in treating seborrheic alopecia, he explained how to define a healthy skin state for us. His suggestion makes the goal of our project more concrete. He also gave us some scientific advice on scalp care, and we have popularized the hair care methods to the public.

Xufang Yang Dr. Yang Xufang is an expert dermatologist. Dr. Yang agreed that fatty acids could be harmful to the skin. For the form of engineered bacteria, she suggested that we put the bacteria cells in a gel and massage them into the scalp just after washing.

Haobo Zhang Dr. Zhang Haobo, a sophisticated hair-care product researcher, provided us with guidance in the early stage of our ACE.hair project. Dr. Zhang suggested that we change our goal from "how to treat the hair-loss diseases” to "how to improve the microenvironment for hair growth" Her advice broadened the range of crowdre we might help and allowed us to focus on more general problems of scalp and hair.

Zhaowang Guo Manager Guo Zhaowan, Senior Engineer of research and development department of Marumi, a Chinese brand of skin care products. As one of the experts in the study of skin care, he also gave many substantive suggestions on the application of products. On the basis of our prototype of engineering probiotics, he suggested that we make the engineering bacteria into freeze-dried powder, and then mix it with the essence prepared in advance when needed. Guo also gave helpful suggestions for the composition of the mixture used to mix our probiotics.

Liangyu Lu Expert in synthetic biology. He advised us on the idea of 2-phenylethyl alcohol biosynthesis and supervised our safe operation in the laboratory.
