Fundraising
Purpose
(1) In order to expand the influence of this project and target products, and popularize the relevant knowledge about HMOs;
(2) Raise certain funds to support breastfeeding charity organizations and our research on improving the efficacy of infant formula.
Peripheral Products
As the peripherals of our products and the products sold in the charity sale, we have designed and customized accessories such as mobile phone holders, masks, key chains, portable fans, felt tote bags, and necklaces, hairpins. Our peripheral products take the logo as the prototype for secondary processing and become a delicate milk bottle icon which was also used to customize our peripheral goods.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, Yiwu, a major source of our suppliers in Zhejiang, was managed and could not ship goods. We promptly refunded and reordered our merchandise in order to receive it before the charity sale.

As you can seen from above pictures, key chains were designed based on our project theme: baby milk powder. For the hot summer, we design a special kind of product, portable fans,which have our team logo on them. Face masks are the hot items that we designed to be made available to the public during the pandemic.
Sale Channel
Our charity sales channels include both online and offline.
Online charity sales were mainly promoted through Moments, and social media such as the WeChat Official Account, Tik Tok, and other media. Our members prepared peripheral goods shooting and further designed a poster for the sale promotion.

Offline charity sales were mainly organized around the shopping malls and we went to passers directly for sale promotions.
Process
First, we did some warm-ups on online social media. We posted our team progress on the WeChat official account, including our team introduction, experimental principles, team members, and small science, et al; a similar promotion campaign has been also conducted on tweets. All these promotions laid a solid foundation for our later activities.
Second, we set up a stall in Changtai Square in Shanghai. We passionately introduced our team and project goal to each passer. It worked that we attracted many parents who appeared interested in our project and our peripheral goods. During the communication, we found that many mothers have very little knowledge about breast milk, and they are kine to trust the brand, which also tells us the importance of education in this area and promotion in marketing strategy.
Our charity sale started from day to night
So far, we haven't sold all our peripheral goods. But our charity sale will continue and the proceeds from selling peripherals through various channels will be donated to non-profit organizations related to infants and young children, making a modest contribution to the health of infants and young children.
