Here we thank everyone, team members, supervisors, professors, and advisors who helped us with different parts of our project. SPYKE could have not been possible without their help and advice.
Each team member had a formal role within the team and responsibilities within the project. However, the end result of Project SPYKE could not have been achieved without the support of many external parties such as supervisors, advisors, experts, and stakeholders who guided us on different aspects of the project. Furthermore, none of our work could have been possible without the support of our sponsors. Here, we would like to summarize each and everyone’s contribution to the project.
At TU Delft, iGEM is accounted for as a course. Therefore, students can apply for it and consequently join the competition, guided by several instructors and advisors. After the selection process, we started with a brainstorming phase to determine the main ideas for the project to grow. This phase extended until April when we chose to create SPYKE. The following months were then dedicated to giving structure to the project. We focused on both the scientific and societal side of the project, as well as fundraising, outreach, and education. For this, we assembled teams to better manage specific sections of the project. The table (Table 1) underneath reports a clear overview of every team member’s work:
Name | Role | Topics |
---|---|---|
Lars van den Biggelaar | Dry Lab manager | Science and Safety, Education |
Martina Fossali | Wiki manager | Wet Lab, Human practices, Outreach and Education |
Maurits Horwitz | Human Practices manager | Dry Lab, Finance and Entrepreneurship, Safety |
Rebecca Jekel | Outreach and Education manager | Wet Lab, Wiki, Entrepreneurship, Safety |
Robin Kuijpers | Wet Lab manager | Outreach and Education, Science and Safety |
Allegra Messinese | Finance and Entrepreneurship manager | Wet Lab, Human Practices, Wiki |
Brent van Schagen | Team Leader | Wet Lab, Wiki, Graphic Design |
