iGEM Toronto has four main streams: Wet Lab, Dry Lab, Human
Practices, and Hardware.
The members of the Human Practice team worked on discovering stakeholder
requirements and educating younger students on synthetic biology.
The members of the Wet lab worked on detecting oak wilt fungal DNA using
loop mediated isothermal amplification LAMP method.
The members of the Dry lab worked on selecting LAMP primer designs and
building prediction model to predict the performance of the primer
designs.
The members of the Hardware worked on enabling on site extraction of DNA
and LAMP reaction.
Each member also collaborated with others across teams for administrative
tasks, such as fundraising, documenting experiments, and adhering to safety
regulations. In our attribution wiki page, we acknowledged the external
advisors who gave advices about project directions, our lab experiments and
safety.
