IGEM Aboa and Trigate

On June 2nd, we met with iGEM Aboa and iGEM Trigate online, to discuss about Toehold switch methods. We would like to learn more about each isothermal amplification technology to choose the optimal amplification method for our project. During the meeting, we exchanged ideas on choosing different isothermal amplification methods, especially on toehold switch designs. After the meeting, we connected iGEM Aboa with Dr. Keith Pardee, a Toehold Switch expert based in the University of Toronto, to answer their questions about toehold switch design.

IGEM HKUST

On August 6th, we met with iGEM HKUST online. During the meeting, we shared about our projects, and exchanged ideas on hardware design. Since iGEM HKUST are still in the brainstorming stages for their hardware prototype, our hardware team members gave them suggestions based on our experience. iGEM HKUST also offered us help on the Integrated Human Practices component. To follow up, we opened a slack channel to share ideas, and are planning to set another meeting a month later to discuss more as both teams progress.
