I'm ian Lyu, now in Year 13 of DHSZ. Most of the time, people know me as the captain of the school football team, but I also enjoy watching TV series. One TV series called The Good Doctor inspired me a lot. I find it fascinating to explore the complexity and wonder of the human body and the inner workings of cells. I helped last year's team doing lab work. This year, I'm the leader of the iGEM team. I wish I could learn more about molecular biology through this experience.

Hi! I’m YijuanShen(Carina), the leader of human practice in the IGEM team of SZ-SHD of 2022. I’m in grade 12 and I’m a big fan of the TV drama 'The Good Doctor' and 'Breaking bad', and Dr. Murphy is my favorite character of all. I’m passionate in biology and medicine, especially in exploring the secrets of human organs. Fortunately, IGEM gives me a great opportunity to take a close look at doing scientific research and learn many lab skills. It is so fun to take part in it.

I’m Tianyang Liu (Alex) from Dulwich international high school Suzhou, my interest field was computer science, mathematics, and electrical engineering and artificial intelligence is one of my most interested topic. I never used matlab but I have already leaned more then five other languages and most of them is harder. The reason I’m here is to understand how data was collected, this will helped me build a solid understanding about how error was generated and what datacleanning should do. Another reason is I believe organisms are natural computers that can actually perform computation and this could actually inspire me about another computational architecture that has been proved by time to have a supreme ability to learn by natural selection.

Here is Chris! The Year-12 student of Dulwich High School in Suzhou and the experimenter of SZ-SHD IGEM 2022. My belief is science, and biology is my favorite subject. The reason why I fall in love with biology is that I have been an animal-lover since I was a child, and that is why I become a number of SZ-SHD IGEM. In the free time of my daily life, I like spending time on taking care of my pets and making some models, like Gundam. In IGEM, I help my teammates prepare materials and make different solutions. During that time, I have learnt a lot of new thing which may be useful in my future(university life).

Hello！My name is Ryan and I am a year 12 student at DHSZ. I am very honored to be a part of the IGEM team and I have benefited a lot from it, not only from learning how to do biology experiments, but also from learning how to work together as a team. I like playing basketball, as for musical instruments, guitar is my favorite. I love biology, and I usually watch a lot of videos about synthetic biology. Participating in IGEM also gives me the opportunity to get a deeper understanding of what synthetic biology is. I believe this will also be a wonderful experience in my life.

Hello! I'm Sam! I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of the SZ-SHD IGEM team family, where the other team members are so supportive and kind to us, guiding us to become laboratory experts. I enjoy consuming books and watching decent films, particularly the ones that captivate me since I can watch them over and over again. My favorite instrument is the violin, and Chopin is my all-time favorite romantic composer. Since the time I signed up for a DNA sequencing study camp in Coldspring Harbor Suzhou in the summer of 2021, my interest in molecular biology has blossomed. And today, becoming a true biologist is one of my aspirations.

Lab freshman, a member of the art department I am Matilda Dong, now in grade 12 at Dulwich High School. I am pleased that I can participate in IGEM, which will give me a lot of new knowledge. My main purpose is to develop my biology knowledge and practical skills. I love sports, especially badminton, so injuries are inevitable. After my injury, I became interested in how to get better faster, therefore, in the biology that encompasses it. I hope I can stick to my interest in biology and what I'm passionate about so far.

My name is Zhang Xin, you can also call me Rachel. I am from suzhou Dulwich International high school. The hobby that I do most during my free time is drawing. This is also my dream major in for my university. Also, this is why my main job in iGEM is designing and painting for our project. I really like to work with friends because communication makes me feel more confident when I do something. Furthermore, I’d like to investigate different things and different challenges which helps me grow up. That’s all about me, I hope I can explore more news in the future.

Hi I'm Fiona. I’m a y12 student in Dulwich. I take part in both dry and wet team cuz I’m interested in many different fields which includes a huge range. I’m good at art and happy to learn knowledge about biology and chemistry as well. Besides, I like to try many new things and have a few hobbies in daily life. I can play some instruments and some sports, especially figure skating. That’s my favorite. I learnt a lot of new things in the field of academy and was happy working together with my friends during this project.

Lab Freshman & Max Efficiency Pursuer Hi! Here is Yang from Suzhou High School, a member of SZ-SHD in iGEM2022, an unusual STEM girl and a perfectionist, who often sees Biology as an art of life besides a branch of learning, and tends to explore Biology through everyday life like feeding generations of wild cats and having equestrian training etc. Additionally, I am passionate about Biochemistry and Public Health. Working in a lab requires patience and sophistication. I learnt a lot through the process. And helping with human practice is really enjoyable for me since I am skillful in designing and editing as well.

Lab member + Biology enthusiast Hi, Joe’s here, a member of the SZ-SHD igem team 2022. As a biology enthusiast, I have a great interest in exploring the hidden curiosities of the biology world which I have participated in the igem project this year. I believe that understanding biology is a way to see ourselves from a different perspective and discover potential ways to cure diseases that are currently incurable. Participating in the igem project provides me with practical experiences in further studying in the subject biology.

My chinese name is Jin Fan or just call me by my English name Jeff. I'm a year 13 student at Suzhou Dulwich International High School.My optional courses in school are Biology,Physics and Chemistry and I will choose Biology as my major in the future . That is one reason why I participate in IGEM2022.In my opinion, participation in this activity can promote my understanding and mastery of the knowledge they have learned, and also provide conditions for the application of the knowledge I have learned.

Hi everyone my name is frank wang and I study in Dulwich suzhou high school. The subject I most like is economic although I do no do very well on it .The subject I am good at is science, and my physics is my best subject.And I also like sports very much and take an active part in the school sports activities，I am in the riding club and the frisbee school team in the school. The activities I like outside school is cycling especially downhill riding that is dangerous and exciting it is challenge ,and I like challenges that makes me improve a lot .

Friedrich Wilhelm Yingjie Lei von Soochow was the leader of SZ-SHD (2019-2020).

Graduated from Dulwich in 2021, he is now a biological engineering student at Imperial College. He was the team leader of 2020 SZ-SHD iGEM team, and advisor for 2021 and 2022 team. Together with George, they created a great atmosphere of studying biology and brought the precision of science to this school. He helped the creation of plasmids on the SnapGene and provided tremendous supports throughout experiment.

Hello, I am currently in my senior year at Dulwich International High School Suzhou. It was so much fun participating in iGEM last year, I decided to help out with this year's team as well!

Hi, I'm Jason from year 13 at Dulwich international high school Suzhou. Owing to last year's experience at iGEM and all the great opportunities to get involved in the lab, I am glad to cooperate with this year's team members as an advisor but also to further consolidate my practical skills as a learner.

Yuming is currently majoring in bioinformatics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) in his sophomore year. He is responsible for wiki development and small part of the wet lab, where he was overwhelmed by a plethora of misleading information made by Lei Yingjie.

Mr Yin is currently a graduate student from suzhou university. His own research mainly focuses on the signaling pathway of cancers. He offers us lots of help with the detection of OMV.

Murdoch graduated with a Bsc (hons) in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Hertfordshire in 2006. He worked as a Research and Development Scientist for Lonza biologics in bioassay development where he worked on the development, optimization and validation of cell based assays to determine the activity of anti-cancer therapies. Murdoch completed his QTS in 2010. He has been teaching Biology for 10 years and has been teaching in China for the last 8 years.

He is a graduate from Soochow University with expertise in the development in algae cells, currently employed as a biology teacher at Suzhou High school SIP.

Mr. Dalling is an amazing supervisor that stays up countless late nights to keep the lab open for us. We wanted to sincerely thank him for his generosity and kindness.

Mr. Sohail is an amazing supervisor that stays up for countable early afterschool(no more than 5:00 pm) to keep the lab open for us. We wanted to sincerely thank him for his generosity and kindness and good time management.

Siwei is an old member of iGEM 2020. This year, he still provides sufficient help with our promotional video making and hardware designing. He is currently a freshman at University of California, Santa Barbara.

The pixel animation was a great challenge for the team. The new idea brought us misery but it could not shatter our unity. We worked day and night to edit the PV, and it was accomplished very well.

Dr. Li got his doctorate degree from CAS Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences. He now works as a senior counselor in an investment company and also create his own community for sharing recent progress in synthetic biology. He was our PI since 2020(https://2020.igem.org/Team:SZ-SHD/Attributions#Shiyuan_Li). We are honored to work with him again this year. He gave us advice through his own sight based on the modern market of synthetic biology.

Mr. Wang works as a senior full-stack hardware development engineer. He gave us important support on our hardware development.

Tom is a Y12 student at Dulwich Internationals high school who specializes in physical chemistry and is enthusiastic about synthetic chemistry.

Mrs.Zhang is the supervisor of our team, having given a lot of help and support to the team activities.

Joyce is a Y12 student at Dulwich International high school who is passionate about art and design. She helped us with the picture book drawing, designing and gave us a lot of valuable advice.
