Within the team, we operate within smaller subgroups such as lab, finances, modelling, human practices, etc. but most of us multitask within these subgroups. Most of our members are enrolled in a Synthetic Biology course, which grants the students course credit for their work in the project and lab, while some students are not enrolled in the course and are participating in the iGEM team as volunteer members. Despite this, each member is considered to have an equal contribution to the project, and carry the same weight in internal decision-making within team proceedings. We have two wonderful course coordinators and PIs, Johan Bonde and Cedric Dicko, along with student supervisor, Camilla Lane, who have all provided invaluable guidance through their consultation.
Chantal is our group leader. She knows what everybody is doing, but we don’t really know what she is doing. But she sure has a lot of meetings and a lot of wisdom (sometimes).

Honey, mustard, and balsamic vinegar (aka the perfect salad dressing)
Ayushi is our biological modelling head. She usually works with languages like Python, R Programming and Bash. According to her, she will spend half of her life debugging :,). She has been working with Leon on establishing models to support the project.

Leon is our designer for gene fragments and the lab strategy. Additionally he is part of the lab team and took over some parts of the dry lab. Together with most of the team he is in the Biotechnology Master’s program. He would miss Pomegranates dearest if there were no bees.

Pomegranates
Nils does the wiki and helps out in the lab if you can call it that. Coding isn’t easy. Or maybe it is? Only Nils knows. He learned JavaScript for this project not just because it makes for a good wiki but more because it has Java in the name which means coffee.
M.Sc. Chemical Engineering

Sebastian is the co-head of Human Practices and works as a lab-team member. He is responsible for managing the public outreach projects and reaching out to stake-holders and fellow iGEM teams. He also managed the creation of the SynBio Dictionary, narrated the Promo Video, and took the team photos. In the lab, he ensures that each experiment runs 100% smoothly, without any problems whatsoever, with a 100% success rate of course.
M.Sc. Biotechnology
Berries and flowers
Deep Bhattacharya is the co-head of Human Practices. He is responsible as the Lead for Social Media and works in the lab. He also helped shoot and edit the promo video, helped in formatting and designing the SynBio Dictionary, and helped the team print the beautiful hoodies and t-shirt.

Mandy is our Lab Team Leader. While doing her master in biotechnology, she is in charge of everyone and everything that goes in and out of our lab. Besides keeping us safe during the experiment, we can always rely on her helping hands wherever they maybe needed.
M.Sc. Biotechnology
I know I will not make any friends with this, but brussel sprouts and kale would be the things I miss the most in a world without bees
Wibke is a member of our lab team and the website team. As a lab member she works on lab strategy and transformations. With Nils she works on building this lovely website.
M.Sc. Biotechnology

Harshal is our head of finances and part of the lab team. He takes good care of our relationship with our sponsors and the acquisition of new sponsors for our project.

Cocoa products. Can’t live without chocolate, can you?
Kevine is a part of the lab team, human practices, and social media, he spends his morning doing labwork and his evenings in the gym to make sure that his muscles are sore like pickles. He also speaks french, so he will be the moderator for his team while in Paris.

Johan is our team PI and Associate Professor/Senior lecturer at Lund University. He has been supervising our project throughout iGEM and has also been teaching several courses taken by the team members, such as Synthetic biology, Bioinformatics, and Protein Engineering.
Protein Engineering, Biomaterials, and Enamel matrix biology.
I am sure the product selection in the supermarket would be significantly reduced without bees, so I would likely be missing a lot of things, but I know for sure I would miss strawberries in the summer.
Cedric is our team co-PI and Senior Lecturer at Lund University. He has helped with feedback session and soft skills.
Biophysics, biomaterials and natural polymers
I would dearly miss honey!
Camilla worked on the wetlab part for iGEM Team Lund 2021, so now she gets to tell others how to work on the wetlab part in 2022. In other words, she is an advisor to the team.

Garlic (I promise I am not scared of vampires)
Our team is based in the beautiful student city of Lund! Located in the south of Sweden, Lund is steeped in student tradition, with the university being founded in 1666 and a student population of 46,000, there is always something buzzing throughout the year. When outside of courses and labs, we enjoy hanging out in the parks, biking to the beach, and sharing food with one another.
We operate in Kemicentrum (Chemistry center) located within the engineering faculty of Lund University, LTH. Here, we host meetings, work sessions, and conduct our experiments in the lab. We are even privileged to have our own iGEM Room in the basement of the building, as well as access to small office rooms connected to the lab. Kemicentrum has become our second home throughout the summer and fall months leading up to the Jamboree, and we couldn’t have asked for a better workplace!
We’re always excited to show off how beautiful Lund is, so below we included some photos one of our members took of our beloved home! In them you can see landmarks such as the University Library, Universisetshuset, and Cathedral, along with other areas of campus and town.
