Team training and Project start

During winter vacation, iGEM 2021 XJTLU-CHINA provided iGEM training for us. Training coursed were divided into five sections: 2021 XJTLU-CHINA project introduction, literature reading methods, experimental planning, modeling skills, and HP instroduction. We also watched previous iGEM XJTLU-CHINA training videos, which are freeely available online and we benefit a lot from them.

We started working on project in February, finding problems in life that could be solved with synthetic biology. We brainstormed and identified our project topic "Application of new biofilm in industrial wastewater treatment" in May. We then began to reserve laboratory, design experiments and purchased experimental reagents. We got laboratory access permission in June. After that, we completed laboratory safety training and practiced basic experiment operation under the guidance of technicians.
