Acknowledgments

To the people who helped us

Our PIs

We would like to first thank our PIs, Mr Marco Da Costa, Mr Pierre Crozet, Mrs Frédérique Peronnet and Mr Guillaume Garnier who have been helping us throughout the project, and in particular Mr Guillaume Garnier who helped us a lot with our modeling part.

Our sponsors

We would like to warmly thank our sponsors, without whom our project would not have seen the light of day, and without whom we would not have been able to meet to form the great and united team that we are.
Thanks to them, we have been able to carry out our experiments without any problem, to organize and participate in collaboration and communication events, but above all to register for the competition and the Grand Jamboree which will end this year with a flourish.

Fonds de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Étudiantes (FSDIE) of Sorbonne University : Solidarity fund for the development of student initiatives.

With the support of the FSDIE Commission "Support to student projects" of Sorbonne University

Being the major support of our project, the FSDIE is a funding that exists in all universities in France, and it is the first source of funding that French teams generally turn to. The FSDIE supports student or association projects related to culture, art, science and technology, sports, health or solidarity, this list not being exhaustive. The main objective of this funding is to encourage students to develop their ideas and initiatives.
We would like to thank the team of the "Direction de la Vie étudiante" of Sorbonne University, and in particular Mrs Rachel Fabre, for her kindness and precious advice, whether it is for the FSDIE file or for the services offered by the university for the associations, and also Mr Amine Jawhari, Mr Cédric Lopez and Mr Quentin Galland for their help in the organization of our events.

Laboratory of Computational and Quantitative Biology (LCQB)

Here is the description of the laboratory on their website: the Laboratory of Computational and Quantitative Biology (LCQB), headed by A. Carbone, is an interdisciplinary laboratory working at the interface between biology and quantitative sciences. It is built to promote a balanced interaction of theoretical and experimental approaches in biology and to foster the definition of new experimental questions, data analysis and modeling of biological phenomena. Our projects address questions on biological structures and processes through the gathering of experimental measures, the in silico generation of new biological data that remain inaccessible to experiments today (modeling of biological systems), the development of statistical methods for data analysis, and the conception of original algorithms aimed to predictions. The lab is supported by the CNRS and Sorbonne Université.

We would like to thank the lab for their important contribution to the project, and in particular Mrs Alessandra Carbone, the director of the lab, for her kindness and her help with our project, and Mr Pierre Crozet for kindly letting us carry out our experiments and use the lab equipment.

Call for proposals CVEC (Appels à projets CVEC)

The Regional Center of University and School Works of Paris (CROUS) finances student projects to improve student life and campus life throughout the academic year in the areas of reception and social support, health, culture and sports, through the CVEC projects commission (Student and Campus Life Contribution). We are proud to be part of their project criteria and thanks to this funding we have been able to promote our project to students.

Labwork and other support

We'd also like to extend our thanks to Lucile Jomat and Mariette Gibier for their help showing us around the lab, without which we would've been completely lost.

Communication and education support

We would like to thank Mrs. Valérie Lerouyer for her warm welcome at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie for the Science Fair and her good mood. She was at our disposal for the activities we wanted to do and always had the right advice!

Big thanks to Mrs. Yasmine Bellagha for accepting us into her class at the Highschool Maurice Genevoix. Her students were very interested in the practical work, and she has been a great help to planning this event, and to conduct our intervention. It was a great experience to teach biology to interested teenagers. We hope to inspire some of her students to pursue science.

Thanks to the former member Mr. Younes Bouchiba for his feedback on our oral presentation at the iGEM Toulouse’s meetup. His comments were relevant and on point. It helped us to have exterior feedback and to see our strengths and weaknesses.
