Safety

Safety and security is an essential part of research, for this reason the RUM UPRM team has established rules for laboratory access and contact within human practice. All the team members participating in the laboratory must take a mandatory test that evaluates laboratory protocol knowledge, safety and security response measures, log guidelines for contact tracing, placement of materials and instruments in the lab and other topics. By doing so we ensure the safety of the members and other colleagues working in the same laboratory. Moreover, COVID-19 safety measures such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and sanitizing standards were implemented in all our activities. As a research team and active members in our society the well-being of our team members and people we come in contact with is of utmost importance.
