3. Wet Lab
The team is led by Meixuan Wu, and consists of Haoru Li, Ruoyu Zhou, Yiran Zhang, Zipeng Wen, Jiaqi Li, Yihan Pu, Jinchen Zhang, Chuyu Wang, Leqin Shu, Jiayin Cheng, Zezheng Jiang, and Ruochong Wang. They worked on probiotics production and test the function. Also, Yiran Zhang, Yihan Pu, Zipeng Wen worked on the safety of our product and designed a kill-switch.
4. Human Practice
The team is led by Haoru Li, and consists of Jiayin Cheng, Jiaqi Li, Jinchen Zhang, Siyun Liang. They studied for the cause of obisity and they surveyed people's eating habits and weight loss concepts through questionnaires. They also interviewed a doctor from Peking University Third Hospital, to make sure that the product is safe for pregnant women and their babies. They also went to Besunyen company for an interview and received confirmation and advice on the project from its assistant manager. Moreover, they held a bio camp at the school, explaining the basic principles of synthetic biology to the junior students of ICC and leading them into the laboratory to complete basic experiments, such as getting to know the experimental equipment, understanding the safety rules of biological experiments, and practicing basic operations, like PCR. Further, they gave some biology lectures for younger students from The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China, in which they introduced the harm of overweight.
5. Wiki
The team is led by Junhan Wang, and consists of Alice Wenxin Qian, Bohan Li, Xinyi Zheng. They build the team's web page, and beautify the website.
6. Art Design
The team consists of Yutong Sun and Wenxi Li, who designed our team logo and uniform.
7. Modeling
The team is led by Yuanhao Li, and consists of Xiaotian Liu, Haotian Wang, Yixiang Zheng. They developed an ordinary differential equation model to simulate the case of the time curve of the number of bacteria at a certain concentration of L-rhamnose. Then they plotted the test data curve that generated the change of concentration over time, and plotted the model curve and the test data curve at the same time. Finally, they ploted the fitted 2D Gaussian surface in the same spatial coordinate system as the actual data curve.
