Aiming to provide an interactive platform for iGEMers, researchers, and the general public interested in synthetic biology, we organised the 2022 UK-wide iGEM Meetup and designed it as a hybrid event. We gathered UK teams: iGEM Bath, iGEM Cambridge, iGEM Exeter, iGEM KCL, iGEM Manchester, iGEM UCL, and iGEM Warwick. We invited researchers from different UK universities and research institutes: Cambridge University, Oxford University, Imperial College London, University College London, and Francis Crick Institute. The talks covered areas from leading synthetic biology application in artificial cells and chemical synthesisers, to bioautomation, and gene networks. The teams attending in person all shared their project ideas through presentations.

We also participated in the 2022 Agricultural iGEM teams meetup organized by Thailand_RIS. We presented our idea and the work we had done so far for the different components of our project. We engaged with other teams, discussing challenges and successes experienced and shared advice about project ideas.
