Collaborations

Brief introduction of special activities

Construction of intestinal information platform

For a better environment for communication and information reusing, we teamed up with several other teams(UCAS-China, WHU-China, NJMU-China, NWU-China) and made a platform for intestinal information communication. We used an open source platform as the framework of our website. It should be noted that we obtained the authorization from the author. On this website, we discussed the problems about guts. Unexpectedly, the website also become a forum for discussion on other problems.

Probiotics Handbook

In our daily life, we find that there are many probiotics products on the market, but we are lack of advice for buying them. The same situation occurs in China and other countries. We cooperated with a high school team to collect a lot of probiotics related science information and popular products’ information on the market, and made a Probiotics Handbook as a guide. [See Appendix below]

CCIC

This year we also have attended the virtual Conference of China iGEMer Community(CCIC), which gathered tons of iGEM teams from all around China. The participants included students, professors and some experts from various disciplines. During the conference, we presented our project and received feedback from discussing together.

Central China iGEM communication

On July 30th, five universities(WHU-China, HZAU-China, CUG-China, HUST-China, HBUT-China) ,from Hubei, Wuhan, had a meet-up called ”Central China iGEM communication”. In this meeting, five teams introduced their projects and experimental principia and then discussed together. This established a reliable way to solve teams’ problems that would reveal in the following experiment. Also, it’s a chance that will definitely strengthen the combination among teams.

Team introduction

We mainly collaborated with six teams. By cooperating with different teams, we made a lot of friends, learned from different projects, and enriched the ideas for our human practice.

YiYe-China

We have conducted in-depth communication with YiYe-China on modeling and human practice, and formed a partnership.

ZJUT-China

We had an in-depth communication with ZJUT-China and formed a partnership

UCAS-China

UCAS-China is one of the partners of the intestinal information platform, and they play an important role in the construction of the platform.

NWU-China-A

We have communicated with NWU-China-A and two teams have searched the relevant laws and regulations on probiotics in China, which is the basis for us to continue to make further marketization.

Figure 8.We have communicated with NWU-China-A.

At the same time NWU-China-A is also one of the partners of intestinal information platform. At the beginning of the platform construction they played a very important role.

NJMU-China

NJMU-China is one of the partners of the intestinal information platform, and they played an important role in determining the form of the platform.

LZU-HS-PRO-A

The Probiotics Handbook is something we have done together with the LZU-HS-PRO-A team. This manual will help consumers of probiotics at home and abroad. {See Education for details}

WHU-China

We have conducted project discussion with WHU-China in conferences in Central China iGEM communication(see above), and WHU-China is also one of the partners of intestinal information Platform.

SCU-China

Our ideas and designs are similar, so we did a series of collaborations. They use their engineered probiotic platform to help us express trimethylamine dehydrogenase (TMADH) and conduct activity measurement. Moreover, we made some constructive comments about their business prospects.
