2022 NKH Conference
As part of our project, we plan to attend the 2022 NKH Conference in Boston, organized by the NKH Crusaders. We learned about this educational and communicational opportunity while researching. During the conference, our team will present our project as a presentation, including its ideas, potential future directions, and related knowledge about synthetic biology to the attendees. Among the audience, there will not only be other researchers who are investing their time in NKH-related fields but also affected families and people who might not have the background knowledge. After and before the presentation, we will spend time communicating with the affected families and patients who are not severely affected by the disease and the researchers. The ideas behind our project can inspire the researchers. The affected families can relate their knowledge about the disease to the synthetic biology part of our presentation. They can also reflect on our project, improve their ideas about the treatments for the disease, and strengthen their belief in a better future for their affected kids. We hope to have a recording of our presentation and upload it onto platforms to make it more accessible to a broader audience.
