Overview:

In all communications, the quickest way to get effective information is to consult and discuss face to face. This year, the frequency of our external activities to promote our projects is increasing, as are the opportunities to communicate between CHINA-FAFU and igem teams, with companies, with experts, and with different groups. We are working together with other iGEM teams to establish in Fresh Freshwater Bioremediation Alliance

In the process of experimentation, we often encounter problems that cannot be solved by our team members' discussions, so our team keeps the spirit of open-mindedness and learning. We hosted a large scale conference on the theme of Blue Carbon Economy, "Resources" Promote The Future Theme Academic Conference, inviting experts and scholars in the field to help us further expand our experiments, and asking for help from business representatives, technicians, communities, stakeholders and governments to get more innovative ideas.

This year, our team is also focused on developing new opportunities for individuals in the field of synthetic biology. Our ultimate goal is to promote mutual learning and open discussion among audiences and to expand integrated human practices among groups, thus making such events more educational.

In addition iGEM is an inclusive organization and we want to create a more inclusive space that fosters dialogue between the iGEM team and the entire iGEM community, opening doors for special groups. This year, our team held a volunteer walk with the blind under the theme of "Close to Nature" to provide care for the blind and partnered with community nursing homes to provide care for the elderly. We visited online to provide science courses to students in remote, educationally disadvantaged rural areas and orphanages to build conservation and environmental awareness.
