The main component of Essex's core product is bFGF, a growth factor with excellent performance. Through communication with them, we learned about this previously unnoticed growth factor and decided to include bFGF in the BCAID project. After communicating with them, we also pay more attention to the safety of adeno-associated virus and the fixation of BC stent in the wound.

He shared with us the experience of using a certain scaffold product in clinical practice, suggesting that we should pay more attention to similar competitors in the market. According to the clinical operation process provided by Dr. Li, we determined the application scenario of BCAID, modified the application process of the product, and preliminarily designed the supporting hardware in the application process.

He analyzed the situation of existing products in the market for us and pointed out that we should work hard on product functionality and price efficiency ratio, which pointed out the direction for our project objectives. Under his inspiration, the healing promoting module was added to the project.

He introduced the detailed use process of wound stents to us, and helped us solve the problem of immune rejection that plagued us for a long time. Based on his clinical experience, he reminded us to pay attention to the antibacterial property of the product and suggested that we combine the application of BCAID with Vacuum Sealing Drainage(VSD). In combination with the teaching practice, she introduced the understanding of middle school students on immunology, skin transplantation, burn treatment and synthetic biology to us, which has greatly promoted the design of education content. She provided some suggestions for the science popularization work of our project. The students in our team who participated in the summer volunteer education made curriculum design with reference to the suggestions of Mr. Wang, and achieved good science popularization effect.

SZPT-China has established a partnership relationship with us, and has carried out in-depth cooperation and mutual assistance in project conception, experiment, modeling, human practice, etc. We have held regular meetings and kept sincere communication.

BNUZH-China established a cooperative relationship with BNU-China last year, and we still maintain close contact this year. We discussed the project design and some experimental problems at the team exchange meeting.

We got acquainted with Peking in 2022 iGEM MeetUp in June, and then had in-depth communication with the Peking team. They told us that there are some details to be improved. At their suggestion, we changed the position of the gene in the plasmid; And added a purification label to the protein.

We continued the friendship with SZU-China this year. In the exchange meeting, SZU-China pointed out that the failure of our first co-culture experiment of cells and BC membrane may be due to the fact that the membrane is too thick and leads to the residue of alkaline substances and impurities. In view of this, we improved the sterilization process of BC membrane, and subsequently the experiment was successful. We sincerely thank SZU-China for their direct and effective comments.

They help our team with hardware design and physical manufacturing. They are not only our important external forces, but also our classmates with deep friendship. In the multi-party cooperation, we gradually developed multiple iterative versions of functional circuit boards, and manufactured hardware entities with 3D printing technology.

We cultured Acetobacter xlinum in the laboratory to obtain BC membrane, and then submitted the BC membrane sample to them. They measure some physical properties of BC according to national standards, helping us to characterize and analyze the products. According to the measurement data provided by them, we quantitatively analyze the product to better evaluate its performance.
