• Zhanning Lin

  Hi there, I’m Zhanning Lin (Maggie) from Bio-plus China. I am currently an 11th grader at WLSA Shanghai Academy and this is my first year in iGEM. iGEM encouraged me to explore and learn in all fields including biology, commerce, and media. In my spare time, I prefer to spend time with my friends chatting or with my family. Cooking, listening to music and reading are the main ways I spend my time when I am alone. To try things new plays a significant part in my life, and I guess this is one reason why I decided to be an iGEMer.

  Hi there, My name is Jiaqi (Jocelyn) Chen, and I am a year 11 student at Shanghai International School. I'm a outgoing person. In my leisure time，I prefer to learn some new skills, such as baking, the art of tea, diving and so on. Meanwhile, it provides me a chance to get touch with the people from all works of life, which some social experience can be accumulated. Although I have been on the iGEM team for only a few weeks, I can confidently say that iGEM will become one of my favorite experiences. I have chosen chemistry, physics, maths, and further maths as my high school subjects. Therefore, I hold the post of the mathematical modeling part. I also have assumed the office of the leader of Media Group, as I am very fond of communicating with others. Finally, I hope our team can work efficiently and maintain a good team relationship.

  I'm the wet team leader Zelu Chen, who attended Xiamen No. 1 Middle School before transferring to Guanghua Cambridge International School. I'm passionate about natural science, especially biology, and I've won the British Biology Olympiad global gold for it. I enjoy studying and am open to receiving guidance from others. I am accustomed to autonomous thought, and I am capable of accomplishing my task on my own with diligence. I've participated actively in numerous subcultures while enjoying painting and drawing.

  Hi. I am Xu Zhenghao. You can call me Jacob. I’m 17 years old and I’m currently a junior at my school in Shanghai. I study Economics and CS. I have a ton of hobbies. I like to play soccer and play video games, both because I like to corporate with my team and win. I like to travel because I like to see different people and different culture. And I would call myself a people person, because I currently runs 2 clubs at my school, which are the MUN club of our school and a film club that my friend and I started called vibestudio, I also like to do a bit of translating, especially to make some subtitles for the videos, because I think it’s a bit of content creating and it can help others aquire knowledge.

  My name is Jiashu Chen, as a high school student, I have participated in some offline activities related to Biology, chemistry, like Envirothon. From those activities, I learn how importance of cooperations between members in a team and how to use some of the professional apparatus correctly. When we going to teamwork, I always play the role about a brick，which means I go where I’m needed. There are not so many specialties I have, but I keep my enthusiasm for ever in order to make sure that I can get new ideas and no reasons to give up. In every part, I will try my best to complete my task to exhibit a perfect work to public.

  Hi, my name is Xinyi Li, a senior high school student in Hangzhou. I am warm-hearted, friendly and outgoing，and it's easy for me to get along well with others.Biology and chemistry are my two favorite subjects in my daily life, so I feel very honored to participate in this competition.In terms of experience, I have participated in JCCO and CCC competitions and won the JCCO National Silver Award.Being a part of the universe, there are millions of people just like me, and I feel very small. Everyone is different, I will try my best to respect everyone I meet with the utmost humility.I will also actively participate in the team collaboration.
