Design

Because most of the biological materials are composed of protein fibers such as human skin is mainly composed of collagen fiber, elastic fiber, etc, and spider silk proteins known as nature strongest fibrous protein structure, we try to design enhanced biological materials with spider silk protein as raw materials of ink and intends to apply this material to 3 d printing projects. Therefore, we plan to carry out the following experiments, as shown in Figure 1:

1. Prepare artificial spider silk fibers and characterize them, preferably in comparison with natural spider silk.
2. Prepare spider silk protein, collagen or sodium alginate composites and characterize them.
3. The degradation/stabilization model of spider silk protein and spider silk protein composites was established.
4. Apply the prepared spider silk material to the preliminary exploration of 3D bioprinting, and it is better to compare it with natural skin such as fish skin.
