Fundraising
In order to expand the influence , gather more money to support the project, and make the concept of environmental protection popular, we conducted an activity to sell some peripheral goods.
Peripheral Goods
The peripheral goods included pendants with our team logo printed, plastic bottles looked like an octopus, canvas bag, stickers and T-shirt with the mascot feature. All of these accessories were attractive and with some interesting patterns. For example, the pattern of octopus on our plastic bottles and other accessories looked cute and seemed under degradation, which is related to our theme of project. It was worth mentioning that the octopus images on the pendants have different expressions, which add to the interest of the accessories. Anyway, all of our team members and the public all expressed their strong love for the accessories.

Wonderful Experience for Charity Sale
The whole process of fundraising exercised our comprehensive capability, not only skills of selling things but also communication and negotiation. In terms of selling, we chose Beijing International Club as the location for sale, considering the huge traffic and the dense crowd.
Before the sale, many efforts had been invested. Among all the efforts, we couldn’t forget how we negotiated with the wholesalers. Because we didn’t need to wholesale hundreds of thousands, the initial wholesale price was relatively high. To overcome the difficulty, we explained to the wholesalers that we are a group of high school students with little money and were doing something beneficial to society, finally persuading them to lower the price.
After we setup our selling spot well, many people passed by and finally we successfully attracted their attention. During the communication, we explained what we are and what we are woking on. They expressed their interests and many of them fancied our peripheral goods.
We set the selling spot near the Beijing International Club and attracted many passers.
In the end, we sold 33 keychains, 50 bags of stickers, 22 T-shirts, 20 canvas bags, and 200 cups of iced plum syrups. Thanks to our members' efforts, the final profit was enough to cover our costs by selling.
After the fundraising, we donated a part of our gain to the Nami group from Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture for their environmental protection as the delivery of our value.
