Attribution

The team of XMU-China come from Xiamen University, which is located in the seagirt islands on the southeast coastal areas of China. Common saying says well: Backer has mountain, rely on water draft. So, seafood has brought up the local people, among which Shrimp is a kind of economic marine product particularly rich in protein, calcium, and astaxanthin. Unfortunately, many diseases, especially acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND), caused by bacteria will trigger not only the death of shrimp but also the huge economic loss to farmers and local economy. Thus, employ synthetic biology tools, our team try to solve the intractable problem from AHPND in Shrimp aquaculture, which will provide paradigm in detection, treatment, and prevention for AHPND.

The iGEMers of XMU-China are responsible for all the iGEM work this year, which includes idea, lab work, wiki, paperwork and so on. Also, we communicate and collaborate with many iGEM teams this year. All the work done by our team members and the help received from others are shown below.
