Adrianne Adaya

Research Member

My name is Adrianne Adaya and I am currently a Junior majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Material Science and Engineering. I joined iGEM because of the freedom it gave us to work on a problem we believe should be solved. It gave me an introduction to synthetic biology and has taught me many skills that will help me in advancing my career.

My name is Megan Zhou and I am currently a Junior majoring in Bioengineering. I joined iGEM because I was interested in working with synthetic biology and because I wanted to build research and presentation skills that I hope will help me in graduate school.

Melissa

Melissa Chin

Research Member

My name is Melissa Chin, and I am a Junior in Chemical Engineering, minoring in Materials Science and Engineering. I applied for iGEM with the hope of learning more about biology, which is not a heavily-covered topic in my major. I enjoyed being able to choose the direction in which the team went in, and learned a lot while contributing to this project.

Luren Wang

Research Member

I study Mechanical Engineering (minor in CS & ECE) and am looking forward to do more research on biology. I think IGEM could be a good starting point for my research here at UIUC. To me, biology is much different from the stuff I have learnt so far and I enjoy (while also suffering ಥ_ಥ) learning it.yeah, I was also wondering why mechanical students would be here, guess I was just so interested in GMO
