In the following semester, I will be entering 12th grade. I'm very into skiing and musicals, in which I have participated in many relevant activities. Hi everyone. I’m Cynthia Zhou from Tsinghua International School. I am a member in the dry lab. In my free time, I prefer to watch animes, read novels, and make some handcrafts or artwork. Thus, I created our team logo with another group member and designed our team shirt. Moreover, because my interests on app design, I built an app for our project. Even though I want to study psychology in university, I participated in iGEM competition because I want to learn more and gain a broad range of different skills across different areas.

I'm Zhang Junyi, a student at Beijing Royal School. I'm interested in psychology and education, so I'm mainly in charge of the questionnaire and education part of the team. I like all kinds of sports, so I play in the midfield of the school soccer team, and I run my own club in the school, discussing with like-minded students how we can help children in need through our power. I always been interested in many different things, like basketball, electic guitar, American football, math, and last but not least, biology. With in my own goal, I want to major biology in university in the future. So, the main reason that I joined this program is because I want to gain more knowledge in Biology and wide my own horizon. I think I hade made a really good choice to attend this program, meeting everyone in our team, and I felt lucky to be a member of the team.

Hi, I'm Haoyang Wang. I'm 16 and I'm studying in BIBA in Beijing. I am really interested in biology, and I have learnt many medical knowledges from my parents who have studied medicine in Hopkins for several years and I believe these can let me pay a valuable role in the wet team. I helped other teammates to have a better understanding of our experiment, and also help proofread some essays that dry team wrote. I value this experience of working together with my team and I believe we could win the competition!

Hi everyone, my name is Christina Zhou. I am currently a senior student at Harrow Beijing International School. While studying senior courses, I found myself interested in science, particularly in biochemistry, which helped me comprehend the glamour of nature and life. Therefore, I decided to continue studying it for the following school years and participate in IGEM to further explore synthetic biology. During the days we worked as a team in the lab, I gained a deeper understanding of synthetic biology and genetic engineering, learnt the standard usage of some laboratory equipment, while also strengthened my ability of team collaboration. Working for IGEM was an unforgettable experience, hoping our team will succeed together.

Hi, I am Jinghan Li, a senior student in Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Shiyan School. To me, bioengineering was at first a subject I had to learn in pursuit of careers in biology and medicine (the field where my most interest lie). Yet I began to enjoy the process of making beneficiary developments using my knowledge in biology as I experienced working in the laboratory for the iGEM program. Collaboration with my research colleagues and discussions with my members on academics was also a rewarding experience. I would now say that bioengineering is a beautiful scene to me on the way to whatever destination thanks to my participation in iGEM, and I am looking forward to our results’acknowledgement in the competition.
