THI-TACHYPLESIN

Tachyplesin is an antimicrobial cationic peptide first detected in hemocyte debris of the Japanese horseshoe crab (Tachypleus tridentatus). This peptide has an unusual structure consisting of 17 amino acid residues with a carboxyl- termina; arginine α-amide.
