Neuroscience Graduating 2023
Ankit is a fourth year student who returned for his third year to be in wet lab! He joined iGEM because he wanted more experience with the entire length of the research process and was excited by the autonomy students had in the project. A fun fact about Ankit is that he loves hiking and is slowly working his way through visiting every national park.
Chemical Engineering Graduating 2022
Our President, Ryan, is a fourth year student who returned to iGEM for his second year to work in dry lab and human practices! He joined the team to have the opportunity to interact closely with individuals from a variety of majors while expanding his modeling, biology, and design knowledge. For fun, Ryan plays European Team Handball and recently got to play in Norway.
Molecular Genetics Graduating 2025
Kaya is a second year student who joined the team this year to work in wet lab! Kaya was born and lived in Hawaii for twelve years.

Fesume is a fourth year student who joined the team this year to apply what he has learned in classrooms to an actual project and to lead dry lab. With synthetic biology being an emerging field, he saw iGEM as a great learning opportunity. Some fun facts about Fesume are that autumn is his favorite season and his favorite sport is squash!

Satvik is a fourth year student who returned to iGEM for his third year to lead wet lab! In his free time, he rides his motorcycle and hangs out with his dog.

Elijah is a third year student who joined the team this year to learn more about synthetic biology and genetic design practices. He brought his biology knowledge to work in wet lab. In his free time, Elijah enjoys roller skating at his local skating rink!

Angela is a third year student who joined the team to learn about applying synthetic biology in a project addressing a real world problem, and to be surrounded by hard working people. She led human practices this year. For fun, Angela loves to speak in accents!
High School Senior Graduating 2026
Emily is a senior at Mason High School and she joined the team this year to be in dry lab and spent some time with human practices. She joined to learn more about synthetic biology and how to apply it to real life issues. In her free time, she is constantly listening to music, especially Post Malone.

Lindsey has been on the team for the past two years. She decided to work as an advisor this year because she developed many professional development skills working as a team member and hoped to share her knowledge with the current team. In her free time, she enjoys crafting and making DIY projects.

Beyond just work in the lab, we had meetings over zoom and in person. These general meetings were a time for us to get to know each other and plan what actions we were going to take next. We also got to know each other by doing some group outtings, like mini-golf! Angela was the undisputed champion
