  Synthetic biology is a relatively new field in the biological discipline. It has only been more than ten years since the concept was proposed. The purpose of synthetic biology is to introduce engineering concepts and ideas into biology to achieve more efficient, more economical and more accurate creation of beneficial products according to human will. Our team hopes that more people will have a clearer understanding of synthetic biology and realize its importance, so as to carry out the education of synthetic biology.
  For online activities, we designed a lot of activities, such as GIFs, cartoon videos, and interesting copywriting to show specifically how our team is using synthetic biology and transgenic technology to help people with depression. We also carried out the promotion of general synthetic biology experimental safety rules, so that more people can realize how does synthetic biology work in the real world, and how important and useful is it.

  Depression is a global mental illness with profound effects around the world. In recent years, the rise of synthetic biology has inspired us and brought new light to the traditional treatment of depression. Therefore, we hope that more people will learn about synthetic biology and our products. In order to achieve this goal, in addition to the multi-angle and multi-form promotion on different social networks, we focused on how accessible and inclusive the promotion content was in different regions. What are the factors that influence people's access to synthetic biology knowledge in the current highly developed online environment? How can we improve and refine on what we already have? This is also very important and critical.
Multi-Language
  Although the Internet is developed, the language barrier is still an important factor that prevents people in different regions from accessing the content we advertise to some extent. From this point of view, although many websites have built-in translation function, However, inaccuracies in words and expressions, especially proper nouns, often occur in translation, which will greatly affect the understanding of people other than English speakers. Therefore, we translate the complete text content into French, Spanish, German, Russian, Korean, and Japanese to improve the comprehension of the text, so as to take care of more people. In this way, people in different countries and speaking different languages can be fully informed about synthetic biology and realize its importance.
Convenient for color blind and color weak
  Considering the inconvenience of color blindness and color weakness, our team selected several specific colors to design our educational posters and educational content, and made functions similar to filters. We hope that this feature would be like a polarization filter, in which the interface can be processed and modified, and then provide visual colors to make our educational articles about synthetic biology easier for color blind and color impaired people to read, and ultimately achieve the purpose of education

Expert lecture on probiotics
  The biosynthetic E. coli in this project is closely related to other microbiota in the human gut. There are a large number of microorganisms in the human intestine and other tissues, and the "microenvironment" composed of these microorganisms affects the various tissues and organs of the human body in different ways, and its impact on the brain is even more fascinating to researchers in various countries. Recent studies have shown that people with depression lack several intestinal floras in their gut compared to normal people. At present, although researchers cannot determine whether this phenomenon is directly related to the production of depression, they have found that many intestinal floras can produce many substances that affect neuropsychiatric activities, including mood, and there is a certain correlation between the intestinal flora and the production of depression. In our project, in addition to design synthetic biological strains based on the production of 5-HTP and GABA based on E. coli 1917, we allow patients to ingest probiotics in order to regulate the balance of flora in the human intestine. In order to further explore the impact of probiotics and intestinal microecological balance on human emotions and metabolism, we held an educational activity about probiotics, inviting Professor Si Shufeng, The CEO of a bioengineering company that located in Shandong. Professor Si Shufeng has mainly conducted research on intestinal microecological balance and intervention, functional probiotic screening and applications, and also some clinical research. He has a deep understanding of microecology and microbial fermentation. At the same time, we also invited some IGEM teams from other schools. We exchanged some ideas about intestinal probiotics and talked about the future of bioengineering. In the lecture, Professor Si introduced us to the role of probiotics in the intestine, as well as related content about the intestinal flora of various patient populations. We learned about the effects of gut microbiota status on a person's mental state and physical health, and we also improved our design for probiotic intake. The lecture the professor gave us allowed us to have a deeper understanding of synthetic biology. It not only contributed constructively to our project design, but also gave the public a detailed lecture on synthetic biology and microorganisms, which enriched their knowledge, broadened their horizons and saw the importance of synthetic biology
Offline Education
  The offline activities took place in the International Department of Beijing No.2 High School. The wet leaders of our team spread this safety knowledge of synthetic biology experiment to the students in the school. Finally, with the team's online and offline efforts, we have a good understanding of the vast number of Internet users and the offline school. The students in the school were given an effective and meaningful lecture on synthetic biology, and the participants benefited a lot. They learned about safety measures for our specific program of synthetic biology, protection and measures for depression, and finally the code of conduct and precautions for the general experiment about synthetic biology. In the lecture, the students of Beijing No. 2 Middle School learned a lot of experimental knowledge, such as how to properly wear experimental gloves and how to use some basic experimental equipment such as a pipette when they do experiments in synthetic biology.

  Nowadays, many older people are biased against Gmos and probiotics related to synthetic biology. For them, GM products that cannot be proven to be absolutely safe are dangerous. As a result, more and more elderly people are afraid to buy probiotics that work for them, and do not accept the probiotics bought for them by their children. We strengthen the education of the elderly, walk to the nursing home, personally explain to the elderly that products made using synthetic biology and genetic modification have many benefits, but no exaggerated dangers, so that the elderly gradually accept and use probiotics, and realize its benefits and future development.
