Collaborations

Sharing and collaboration are core values of iGEM. We encourage you to reach out and work with other teams on difficult problems that you can more easily solve together.

2022 iGEM Mid-Atlantic Meetup

On Saturday August 13th, the UMaryland iGEM team hosted the Mid Atlantic Meetup at their campus. This meetup, the first in-person meet up since the start of the pandemic time, was a time for us to share our project with other iGEM teams. The other iGEM teams at the meetup also gave us insight that we used to develop our project. For example, we discussed developing a nitrogen biosensor for our project, but at the meetup, we decided that the complexity of the biosensor would make it an inferior option to already existing solutions. We would like to thank iGEM William and Mary, Baltimore Biocrew, UVA, and Johns Hopkins for joining and collaborating with us!

Storybook Collabration

Our team invited other iGEM teams that attended the Mid-Atlantic Meet up to join us in a StoryBook Collaboration. The goal of this collaboration was to share our projects and synthetic biology concepts in a way that kids could understand. Here is the piece of the collaboration we contributed.
