Primary PI

Dr. Sun is a professor in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering, and her research interests are centered around synthetic biology, biotechnology, and environmental engineering.

Dr. Zhu is a professor in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering, and her research interest is biomolecular engineering for applications in health, agriculture, and energy.

Siddhant's main focus was to oversee our experiments and offer support through advice and instruction.

E.Collie is a hybrid of a collie and E. coli, and she is based off of Texas A&M University's mascot, Reveille, a rough collie.

About Us
Howdy! Our team is the very first team from the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University to compete in iGEM. Texas A&M University (TAMU) is the largest university by student enrollment in the United States, and is known for its programs in engineering, technology, and agriculture. TAMU’s chemical engineering department is one of the largest, fully accredited programs in the country. Our team is proud to take part in this competition where we may represent our department, University, and community.
