Good morning folks! I’m a senior 3 student from Dalton Academy of PKUHS. Interested in neuroscience and genetic engineering, I set off on the journey of iGEM. Although I’ve already participated in some biology research and wet labs, these seven days of mutual companionship are my dream come true. Knowing you guys from all over the world has been my honor!
I’m a drug addict, addicted to science stuff. Living matters are forever abstruse, and with that wisdom, we can assist people with their health care and keep searching for solutions to the current pandemic. Besides academics, I like basketball, music, birdwatching, and engineering projects. Exploring microscopic and macroscopic nature using instruments, a telescope, an Arduino kit, and the camera is what I do all the time. I hope I can see you guys soon in the future college life. Yay! I really enjoy doing experiments in a collaborative way, and at the same time making new friends from different parts of China. In the experiment, I also learned a lot of theoretical knowledge outside school. My interest in biopharmaceutical comes from my experience of canine distemper death. It is a distinct feeling when try mastering the sea. Also, I am fond of playing volleyball and video games, which are two major ways for me to relax. I would like to choose Biology or Chemistry as my major in collage, which is one of the mean reasons for me to participate in iGEM competition. Besides that, it is surprisingly and grateful that such a small laboratory could converge students all over in China; I really enjoy the vibe of experimentation and corporation, maybe that is why I love Biology and Chemistry. For the art aspect, I have been playing the piano for 11 years and the cello for 5 years. I have had a piano recital in Carnegie Hall in New York. Playing the instruments has already become a part of my life. For sport aspect, I am into tennis, and I am in girl varsity tennis team in school every year. Because my family has inherited breast cancer, I had determined to be a researcher in oncology at a very young age. Being a part of the TeMoZerapy team is definitely one step closer to my dream and I have enjoyed every second of it. I'm Miao Jing, you can call me Kitty Miao! yeah, that's my nickname... I'm a rising sophomore at Canterbury School. I grew up in Beijing, at Tsinghua University. It's a place full of an academic vibe, thus I was inspired by the field of science. I love life science and environmental science. I especially love doing field research and other hands-on experiences. Besides academic stuff, I’m a hockey and field hockey player (I also do crew). Hi, my name is Zhihao Chen, I am a grade 12 student studying in Canada. My leisure hobbies are sports such as basketball, and badminton, on the other hands my academic hobbies and my directions for the future are chemistry and biology. I am trapped into the way of the life in molecular level such as how they are going to breed as a cell, how they are behaving, and how they are going to work together for survive.
