ShanghaiTech_China is a wonderful team, with a passion and imagination to create a better world with synthetic biology. Our team is a big team, we have 36 members, including 23 students, 10 advisors, and 3 PIs. Our team is also a young team, most of our students are freshmen and sophomores at the beginning, and the youngest member of our team is a high school student. But most importantly, our team members have interdisciplinary backgrounds and willingness, so can we propose such a great project, MBCS-Mars. This year, due to the epidemic in Shanghai, we spent half of the competition time completing the stage of brainstorming, research, and topic determination online. And the other half of the time, our member sacrificed their vacation time to get all the work done within the project. We have been through a tough and unforgettable time together, which has strengthened our bond and our friendship.
