Introduction
Our team highly values reaching out to the community to spread awareness regarding our team’s project, advocacies and synthetic biology. Aside from our social contact event which consisted of educating one another regarding the topic of mental health, we also wanted to take the opportunity to utilize our social media platforms to spread kindness and awareness to the community, regarding mental health and synthetic biology, respectively.
Instagram Mental Health Awareness Campaign
In light of mental health awareness during the month of May and knowing the prevalence and widespread concerns regarding mental health, our team utilized our social media Instagram platform to share some words of encouragement to the public. We know how rampant the use of social media has been nowadays, and we wanted to take that opportunity to provide support towards the community. In this way, we hope that we provide even just a little bit of kindness and inspiration to those who need them.
Knowledge Translation
Given that our team had the opportunity to step foot into the lab this year to conduct some experiments, we wanted to take this chance to share to the world how instruments were being utilized in the lab. Our team is also aiming to educate the community further through hosting workshops and webinars, along with utilizing our social media platforms to share knowledge translation videos regarding synthetic biology.
