Summary and target consumers
In today's society, environmental water pollution is a very serious problem, and industrial wastewater discharge is a primary problem that needs to be solved. However, industrial wastewater caused by heavy metals occupies a large part of this wastewater. Because traditional physical and chemical methods are not very effective for treating heavy metal wastewater, the company that wants to find a way to fix the problem is really hard. However, our biological method can treat these industrial wastewaters contaminated by heavy metals with maximum efficiency. Therefore, we will create engineered bacteria to adsorb the heavy metal cadmium (II) ions in these industrial waste waters. Those companies that have a problem dealing with heavy metals in wastewater can use our device.
Using the activated sludge method, the engineered bacteria we created are fused with specific sludge, which can play the role of adsorbing heavy metals. Then the mixed liquid is poured into the wastewater, and the heavy metals in the wastewater will settle to the bottom after a period of time. Finally, the supernatant water above can go to the next step for further purification.
We thought of a very simple and low-cost machine. Its name is high-salt heavy metal wastewater processor. Its entire process is to put wastewater into the machine for precipitation, separation, and discharge. As shown below.
Usage and solving the potential problems
The first part of the machine, the wastewater with heavy metals will be discharged from the top of the machine, and then we will add a large amount of activated sludge. After that, it will start the agitator to fuse our activated sludge with the wastewater, so that all the wastewater can be evenly exposed to our engineered bacteria. This allows the engineered bacteria to absorb the surrounding heavy metals more evenly. This allows us to maximize the effect of our engineered bacteria. After completing the above steps, we will first check if it is being mixed really well, if not we will start the machine again. Then we will let it stand for three hours, which will allow the sludge and heavy metals to settle well. At this point, those bacteria will precipitate to the bottom of the wastewater with the heavy metal cadmium (II) ions. When the wastewater is standing, the agitator will emit ultraviolet light to make it play a sterilizing effect to ensure that bacteria will not cause secondary pollution to the wastewater, and the clean water will be discharged at the end.
The water we discharge will go into the next water purification process, now our picture below is a tube that discharges water, the water that goes through here will be tested to ensure that most of the heavy metals are precipitated, and will then be transported to the next evolutionary process.
And the heavy metals and sludge we precipitated will be thrown directly below, because our picture below is an active door that opens and closes up and down, so the precipitated sludge will be thrown below, and our active sewage The sludge is already full of heavy metals and cannot be reused, so these sludges and heavy metals will be buried or disposed of in other ways.
