We would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Patricia Walker, a PhD candidate from Washington University in St. Louis for the donation of S. elongatus UTEX 2973 strain from her lab. We wish you much success for your project in studying the molecular mechanisms of high light tolerance in a fast growing cyanobacteria.

Since he is also working with S. elongatus, our team member Matias had a brief exchange on working with the bacteria. He also pointed us to some current research that answers why we were having our specific issue.
