She helped us to prepare experimental materials and reagents, and the reimbursement and turnover of funds.
Our best leader
Our leader is responsible for the planning, review and promotion of all activities and is an all-rounder.
She was responsible for coordinating the time of the experimental group and arranging for team members to do the experiments; as well as contacting other teams for collaboration; and promoting both the education and integrated human practice. During the summer, she was responsible for the closing part of the experiment together with other team members, and also contributed some of the text content of the webpage, check-in form and all the safety form.
Our Multi-tasking testers
The members of the experimental team were responsible for all the experimental work, and they knew the experimental content very well, so they also carried out some related activities at the same time.
She was involved in the construction of most of our strains and subsequently tested them for in vitro experiments. She defined the experimental protocols for our hardware builds. During the summer, she was in charge of communication and discussion with other iGEM teams to share or learn from the team experience.
She worked in the experimental group, mainly doing some cellular and molecular experiments. At the same time, she also participated in the HP. In the summer vacation, she joined iGEM China Alliance, discussed the project content with other teams, and explained the occurrence and detection of colorectal cancer in the form of live streaming and online classes. She also did some accessible work, and cooperated with Sign language Association to add sign language description to our promotional video.
She is deeply involved in our Human Practices activities. In addition to conducting biology science lectures in affiliated school of Lanzhou University with NEU, she focused on creating and promoting General Questionnaires about our project. During this summer, she was in charge of the partnership with SCUT to promoting biology to Special Disability Groups.
She did cell experiment and western blot during summer holiday. As an HP member she represented our team in the offline education program in Hangzhou and communication with other teams.
She did some cell experiment. She taught some experimental operations and the use of endnotes to middle school students in Guangdong Province on zoom. At the same time, she investigated the cancer treatment of LGBTQ group, design and make a brochure for the public and a proposal for medical personnel, went to the hospital to carry out relevant activities. She also contacted the Indian team and shared and exchanged information about LGBTQ groups in the two countries on zoom.
As a member of the experimental group, she participated in the construction of genetically engineered strains, learned and mastered the experimental operations related to molecular biology.
He did some cell experiment during spring and helped carry out education for physically challenged people in Guangzhou, also prepared various materials for HP work.
Our creative artwork group
The art team created some beautiful images and animations to help spread the project better.
He created a new IP image for the team and designed 16 emoji stickers based on it, which were submitted to WeChat emoji platform. For education, he worked with the official campus media of Lanzhou University to complete the emojis and the promotion of the project work, so that more people can understand colorectal cancer from the scientific perspective. He also designed the required scientific illustrations for the wiki and videos and helped with the experiments in any way he could.
He work in the video team, mainly involved in the production of promotional videos. During my time in iGEM team, He mainly completed the following tasks: the production of the second half of the promotion video, the extraction of VVT subtitles, video editing and adding dubbing.
He majors in agriculture and forestry economics and management. He is a member of the video team and the art team. Usually good at publicity work, the main work in the team includes press release writing, poster design, video editing, etc.
Grade 19 of the Academy of Arts, she is responsible for the exhibition of website images, logo design and the exhibition in Yue Gallery.
He is currently a member of the video group of the team. The main responsibility is to do some publicity for the team, such as making promotional videos.
Our mathematical group with strong analytical ability
The mathematical group models the experimental data analysis and presents the experimental results more intuitively.
She is a member of the mathematical modeling group and is responsible for part of the mathematical model building. In the summer, she focuses on understanding the biological background of mathematical models and finding suitable models to use as base models. Together with Siyao Wang, she wrote code to estimate the parameters of the equations and wrote the mathematical modeling section of the wiki.
He completed the construction of the mechanism of chemical reaction equation of that project on the basis of full understanding of the chemical background. Then, he proposed reaction kinetics equations of whole process. Next, he devoted himself into learning the transcriptional regulatory network, on the basis of relevant knowledge, to further simplify the model, and using the algorithm of particle swarm simulation optimization model parameters. The sensitivity analysis of the model was also carried out. To sum up, he had Successfully completed the mathematical model of the project.
Our crucial wiki group
The wiki group is responsible for the creation of the web page and the public presentation of all data.
In this project, he was responsible for the programming part of the wiki. Especially the use of Bootstrap.
He is responsible for the production of wiki and the visual display of the results on the web page. This summer, he systematically learned about the use of gitlab, applied the bootstrap framework, and completed the wiki pages with his teammate Tianyi Wang.
