Team members

Our team is divided into two groups, wet lab, and dry lab.

Members in the wet lab spent a great amount of time during the summer vacation conducting experiments in labs. We first read some books to get familiar with the basic concepts of synthetic biology and searched for articles and papers to find inspiration. Then we started to design our program. After finalizing our plans and focusing—on the RNA degradation regulator, we experimented with different RNAs and we used the HiFi assembly cloning method to integrate dtRNAs.

Specifically, members in wet lab include Haoxin Liu, Ke Huang, Zihan Weng, Yizhou Xu, Xiaohan Zhu, Chenyu Zhao, and Xiao Li. They take turns to be on duty in the lab, to make sure that there are at least three people in charge of the lab every day to do the experiments, and clean and organize the lab afterwards.

Members In the dry lab are then divided into several subsections, including engineering, human practice, art & design and wiki.

The engineering group designed a kinetic model of gene expression, analyzed the data, and tried to make predictions of our lab results. The members in this group include Yuliang Liu and Zhuorui Chen

The Human practice group interviewed several experienced iGEMers, who gave us much advice, and introduced iGEM competition to students who were not familiar with it. Members in this group include Yuhan Liu and Ruijia Yang.

Art & Design group made our design into clear animations in our promotion video, and helped design the illustrations on our wiki webpage. Members in this group include Yuheng Zhu, Youheng Liu, and Yuxin Mei.

Lastly, as one of the team leaders and the leader of wet lab, Xiao Li was additionally in charge of the design of interview questions and the wiki webpage, as well as the texts in wiki, the arrangement of lab duties, and the working progress of each group. Shengjie Xu, as the other team leader and the leader of dry lab, was additionally in charge of finding data for the engineering group, writing part of the texts in wiki, and filling out the judging form to make sure every detail of our project meets the requirement.

Instructors
